Pardew confident Tiote will stay at Newcastle Newcastle United Manager Alan Pardew has dismissed rumours that Ivorian midfielder Cheikh Tiote could be leaving the Magpies to join Arsenal this summer. Pardew declared that Newcastle had received a couple of derisory bids for the 28 year old midfielder and told the Daily Telegraph, “I’m confident Cheick will stillbehere next month. We’ve not really entertained any serious thought of him leaving. I’ve had no indication from him that he wants to go.” Podolski happy in London The Daily Express reports that Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski could be the subject of a summer bid from Galatasaray, with the players agent confirming interest in his man, but Podolskis agent Nassim Touihri was also quick to add that the 29 year old German international may not leave Arsenal anytime soon. Touihri said, There have always been questions. Now we have a concrete interest of some teams but Lukas feels good in London. PSG want £24m for Rabiot PSG have rather quickly changed their tune on young midfielder Adrien Rabiot with his asking price having jumped from a credible 5.6m to an atrocious £24m according to the Daily Star. Laurent Blanc though has admitted the possibility of the 19 year old leaving the club, saying, “I want Adrien Rabiot to remain in Paris. The decision is not mine, he might leave the club. The Daily Express reports that Sporting Lisbon are ready with a £5.5m offer for the player with the Daily Mail adding that his former club Porto also want to bring him on board. Man City to reject offers for Jovetic The Daily Mirror believes that Juventus and Valencia are monitoring Stevan Jovetics situation at Premier League champions Manchester City and are keen on signing the £20 million rated Montenegrin forward should the Citizens be open to offers. However, with Alvaro Negredo injured for the start of the new season, City are unlikely to listen to any offers before January. Tottenham interested in signing Fazio After having made little progress in their pursuit of Villarreal defender Mateo Musacchio this summer, Tottenham Hotspur have turned their attention to the considerably cheaper Sevilla defender Federico Fazio according to reports in the Daily Express. Fazio will cost Spurs just £8m, less than half of what they are believed to have offered Villarreal for Musacchio. Tottenham not likely to land Schneiderlin The London Evening Standard believes that Tottenhams hopes of landing French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin are all but over this summer after Southampton Manager Ronald Koeman dismissed all talk of a transfer for the wantaway 24 year old.
