Parking, traffic arrangements for military funeral Richmond - TopicsExpress

Parking, traffic arrangements for military funeral Richmond Valley Council has mapped out a traffic management plan to cater for the hundreds of people expected to attend Sapper David Wood’s military funeral on Friday in Casino. Council has recommended people arrive well before the 10am service at the archery fields in Queen Elizabeth Park. Motorists are advised to enter the park via Adam Street off Coraki Road. There is limited parking and Police, Council traffic controllers and military personnel will assist motorists with parking on and near the park. Temporary repairs have also been made to the footbridge linking the town to the park for those wishing to travel on foot. The following temporary road closures will occur on Friday 9am to 12pm: Centre Street at Lennox Street; Stapleton Avenue at Centre Street; Hickey Street at Lennox Street; Windsor Avenue; and Cope Street between Hickey Street and Windsor Avenue.
