{ Parks} Botanical Garden of Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov. The Botanical Garden of Moscow State University named after M. V. Lomonosov is one of the oldest botanical and scientific institutions in Russia founded in 1706. In 1953 the new territory of the garden next to the new complex of Moscow State University buildings on Vorobyovy Gory was opened. Botanical garden is an educational and research base of biological faculty of the Moscow State University. 10 departments and laboratories of biological faculty both botanical and zoological conduct their works in the garden. It is collected more than 5 000 types and species of plants and more than 100 species of birds here. Garden together with the department of higher plants conducts all-Russian and international conferences on floristic research and nature protection. Site and thematic excursions and annual public informative ecological games associated with the Spring Flower Festival and Day of Botanical Garden in the branch (for schoolchildren) will be organized for visitors.
