People often suggest that anarchism is idealistic, that It relies too heavily on the absurd notion that people are inherently good. Id say otherwise. In my experience being and conversing with anarchists, Ive found that they are more rational than that... Anarchists understand that bad people will do bad things. with or without a supply-demand prison system, They know that laws dont keep people from DOING bad, but rather, more often than not instead PROTECT people that ARE. (and on much more drastic scales) But i digress, i digress... As it is, morality is subjective once diverted from basic empathy, and its not reasonable to assume that a profit-driven machine creates a strong basis of ethical foundations for a society. Furthermore, to assume a god-like knowledge of right and wrong in any hand of authority, would be fallacious. Freudian and evolutionarily and understandable but fallicious nonetheless. If humans were infallible government wouldnt seem so absurd. But as logically transitive, given that were not infallible, its obvious that neither will our governments be. Its just that fallible humans do much LESS damage on small scales WITHOUT governments than on ASTRONOMICAL scales WITH governments. Its pretty simple, really.
