Perlina Cloud: Perlina Lewis Cloud, 74, of Closplint, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014, at her home. Born October 23, 1939 in Harlan County, she had lived here most of her life. She was a homemaker and believed in the Pentecostal faith. Perlina was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Cloud; her parents, Burley Lewis and Smina Brock Lewis; a sister, Ethel Turner; and five brothers, Jake, James, John, Lacey and Henry Lewis. Survivors include three children, Mary Jo Berry and husband, Tommy, New Tazewell, TN; Cora Mefford and husband, Jeff, Closplint; Morris Cloud, Jr. and wife, Debbie, Dizney; three sisters, Mary Brown, Williamsburg; Fannie Lewis, Florida; Hedie Vaughn and husband, Howard, Bluffton, IN; and one brother, Jessie Lewis, Narda, Bluffton, IN. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Crystal Gluck and husband, Greg; Sarah Peters and husband, Austin; and Amanda Heath and husband, David; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
