Personal Lines Account Manager Joe Greene Insurance Agency has an immediate opening for full time Personal Lines Account Manager position. We are seeking a motivated and professional individual with excellent communications and interpersonal skills. 3 years minimum insurance agency experience required. Summary: The Account Manager is an integral link in the business relationship that is created by our agency, our clients and our companies. For most our clients, the Account Manager is the main point of contact with our agency, and frequently clients rely on the Account Manager to explain, select and place their insurance coverage. Hence, this role requires an individual who is professional and who displays the drive, determination, and self-motivation manage an assigned insurance book of business. Specifically, your mission will be to service and maintain existing accounts while uncovering opportunities for increasing business. Principal Responsibilities: 1. Provide superior service to our clients by promptly responding to their inquiries and addressing their insurance needs on the products and services our agency provides. 2. Support the Producers throughout the new business process to ensure successful conclusion, and manages accounts after coverage has been bound. 3. Fully utilize the capabilities of the agency management system including consistent and thorough documentation of all communication and interactions with clients and carriers. 4. Maintains designated retention levels for existing book of business through reviewing renewal accounts, and by conducting account review process consistent with agency guidelines. 5. Maximizes coverage of in-force accounts through account rounding/cross selling of products and services. 6. Actively develop account sales for assigned clients by soliciting additional policy sales in a manner consistent with our agency’s marketing plan. 7. Underwrite and place individual risk situations to ensure they meet our agency’s standards and those of the companies we represent. 8. Complete applications on our client’s behalf for all Personal Lines coverage, including price quotations and comparisons, for all the companies we represent. 9. Maintain individual customer files and process routine correspondence between our agency and the client or company, including preparing policy documents. 10. Perform additional functions at the direction of Agency Management. Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Abilities: • In depth knowledge of personal lines insurance products, coverage and services as typically obtained through a minimum of three years of direct insurance experience. • Property and Casualty License, preferred. Must be acquired within 90 days from employment. • Associates Degree or equivalent is preferred • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal, and organizational skills • Strong Account Rounding and Cross-Selling Skills • Strong problem solving skills • Able to be flexible and to adjust priorities as necessary • Ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines • Proficiency of agency and industry software programs Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, the Account Manager is frequently required to sit, talk or hear, and to use office equipment and computers. Occasionally the Account Manager will have to do some lifting or moving of supplies, materials and/or office equipment, of up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required for this position include close vision, distance vision and depth perception.
