Please allow me to share a little bit of good news I received today: Guineess today gave verbal confirmation that my 283 km sail up and down the chesapeake bay this summer was recognized as the longest distance sailed in a dinghy by a male. Thanks to to everyone who made the trip possible and to all those that enjoyed sharing in the ride. A special thanks to Magellan for providing the GPS that got me there and back safely. Thank you Tania Elias Calles Wolf for the inspiration. Thanks to Old Dominion University Sailing which has supported my crazy sailing for all these years, especially Mitch Brindley who has so freely given so much of his time, advice, technical support and the occasional rescue. Thanks to my family for being there and allowing me to pursue my dreams. Thanks to all my friends for believing, especially Mike Moore who lent me his boat knowing that it might not come back, (mike, when you are ready to sell I will sign your hull) and Doug Keiler for all the gear. Thanks to Intensity sails for a product that stood up through some hefty conditions, and to cliff bars, whose products made an endurance trip of 86 hours possible. Thanks lastly, and especially, to my wife Lisa. I couldnt have done this without you, and without you, no one would have ever known. I hope to sail far again, and eventually, put together a mini transat campaign. lisa put together a cool video: here is a link: https://youtube/watch?v=qdrNFxVN7Eo&feature=youtu.be And here is a link to our web page for the voyage: lisasuhay.wix/laserrecord
