DAMAGING WINDS FOR PARTS OF SOUTHEAST NSW Weather Situation A vigorous cold front will move over New South Wales during Saturday, generating strong to gale-force winds and damaging wind gusts. Damaging wind gusts of 90 km/h are forecast for the Illawarra, Southern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains forecast districts during Saturday afternoon. Alpine Peaks above 1900 metres may experience peak gusts to 130 km/h. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: Move vehicles under cover or away from trees. Secure or put away loose items around your house, yard and balcony. Keep clear of fallen power lines. For emergency help in floods and storms, ring your local SES Unit on 132 500.
