Please share this on your wall. Lets get the word out. We have to come up with ideas for the city to self generate wealth. Chattanooga TN decided to implement their own fiber backbone network. Homes have gigabit speed services for the prices we pay for 50 Megs. Residents pay the city monthly for voice video and data. The city is providing faster better quality of service and turning a profit thus offsetting the tax burden of its citizens. Chattanooga owns its own fiber lines that it was using for its police and fire backhaul. It was a good move for them to spur off and provide services to their residents. Bayonne needs to get on board with this. Creating a gigabit city will attract may businesses to our town and increase property values as well. I have connections in this industry and can have consultants come to meet the mayor and provide a feasibility study to see if the project is worthwhile. We need to think outside of the box to make Bayonne a place people want to be. Having gigabit speed internet services to our homes is a great way to do that.
