Police are appealing for information after an elderly man was robbed at Minto this morning. About 6am (Saturday 10 May 2014), a 76-year-old man was walking along Durham Road when he noticed two males at a nearby bus stop. The two males approached the man from behind, before one of them held his arms and the other stole his wallet. The pair fled the location and short time later and were last seen running across Guernsey Avenue. The man stopped a member of the public who contacted police. He was not injured. Officers from Macquarie Fields attended the scene and launched an investigation into the incident. Police are continuing their inquiries into the matter are would now like to speak to two males who may be able to assist in the investigation. They’re described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 16-17 years of age and 150-155cm tall. The first male was last seen wearing long black pants and a black jumper, with the second male wearing long black pants and a grey-hooded jumper. Anyone who knows the identity of the males or has any other information that can assist police is urged to come forward.
