Poor people, and certainly Black poor people, overwhelmingly vote for Democrats. Yet the policies those democrats have supported have not benefited the poor. The democrats are refried Republicans -- in disguise. The policies of Democrats and Republicans have largely benefited the well-off much more. Malcolm X spoke about this pattern 50 years ago. Poor people and Black people need to raise their political IQ. As Malcolm X explained almost 50 years ago, neither party is dealing with issues that are of interest to people of African descent. You put them first and they put you last (in terms of their policy agenda). He said most Blacks are “political chumps” who actually think they are doing the right thing by voting en masse for someone with a record of putting everybody else issues before your own. In 2016, Blacks will have demonstrably moved further backwards and the Blacks who supported Obama are going to go down in history as the biggest dummies in the room for having supported a politician who accomplished so little for them, after all his hoopla about “hope” and “change.” ~ Reg Clark
