Porter County Indiana local and state laws and regulations (which are loose, at best) prohibit minors in the tattoo area (with multiple good reasons). Its not about enforced modesty, I would prefer a topless woman in the shop (also for multiple good reasons), but tattoo shops are for grown folks. Also, cradling and caring for a child is not only distracting for the client and artist during a very intimate and focused procedure, sudden movements could cause a less than straight line. No one wants a tattoo machine to go off-course, hahah! Aaaaaand the shop pictured isnt following standard cross contamination prevention practices --it doesnt even look tidy, and seems to be missing barriers. Sorry, but this isnt appropriate in any light. Let momma have a break from the baby to fully enjoy and be present for her tattoo experience (as long as her immune system is in tip top working order, she doesnt show signs of fatigue, poor hygiene, distraction or other red flags, AND the artist, shop, and mother dont mind the increased risk of potential infection during or after the procedure). You know what Im sayin?? (Thanks for pointing this out Tressa Witvoet;)
