Posting this as a public service announcement... and to stop the ridiculous rumors. It saddens me to see so many people eat up bogus information like this. I have had many ask me to validity a social media post stating that NASA confirmed our skies would go completely dark in the month of December and a massive hurricane is on the way. This is not the case... clearly. With all due respect, do not believe everything you read. If the sun was going to shut off/vanish (this is physically impossible, by the way), NASA wouldnt be casually posting it to Facebook. That being said, Ed Russo has a special report that airs on Thursday at 6pm on WSBT 22 talking about viral bogus information that is flying around on the internet. Its a great story within our Weather Week. Dont miss it -- or else (evil laugh as I watch the sunset). :)
