Posting to confirm that the SANDY COMMUNITY ACTION CENTER Board Meeting for Tuesday May 20 IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, as all board meetings are, always have been and will continue to be. It is at 5pm at the Clackamas County bank, Sandy Branch, in the conference room. ALL are welcome to come and ask questions and share ideas. The AC is still a 501c3 entity and has not changed to a corporation. The board is looking to add two new members, so if you are interested in this volunteer position, please consider helping out. They meet once a month. Also, YES, some of the donations are forwarded on (donated, not sold) to the Volunteers of America store (whose mission is very similar to the Act Ctr) because the AC gets so many donations, they do not have room for them and the work areas become hazardous. And yes, four volunteers have quit since march, as there is always a turnover in this kind of venue. So, if you still have questions or input, the board would love you to come and share. They are particularly interested if you have input concerning the store and how it is run. :)
