Prayer Is a Lifeline ....“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” (Col.4:2).. Through our prayers, we have a way to communicate with God. We can speak to Him of our joys, our concerns, and even talk to him about not so understanding matters. Each day, we can turn to the Lord in prayer and submit ourselves to him. In order to be devoted to prayer, we have to set aside specific times to pray and we need to make prayer a priority. When we make prayer a priority, the relationship we share with Him will flourish and grow as if He had sent nourishing rain down upon us from Heaven. What is your prayer life like? Is God your lifeline? Heavenly Father, we thank you for the opportunity to approach You each day through our prayers. We know that we only need to speak our thoughts and You hear us and love us enough to respond to us in our own time. We are thankful Lord, for all that You do for us and for all that You are in our lives. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen. Action Step Start each day in prayer. Even if you are short on time, take just a few minutes to spend time with God. Then patiently wait to hear from the Lord, having a heart full of thanksgiving. “The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing” (Psalm 34:10). God always provides for His people. Trust Him without question.
