Prayers for my wonderful grandmother are requested. The following is my grandfathers most recent update post: Ive been calling the kids and as much close family as I could before posting this one. Sandy had an MRI as a pre requisite to starting the next Chemo. Unfortunately the report came back late afternoon Monday that there are multiple Brain Lesions. She has been having some movement/coordination issues for several days and now we know why. This puts a hold on all chemo until resolved. We met with our primary care physician, James McNally, and some very close friends Ed & Flo McNally and Conley Richards Monday evening for prayer and questions to begin discernment about the course to take, no treatment would have been terminal in about 6 weeks at best. Sandy and I agreed to meet with the Radiology Oncology team assigned to her case, that meeting was tentatively scheduled for us, and we left for Houston very early on Tuesday. After hearing the plan they had, which was very close to the way James described it, Sandy decided and it made me happy to agree to treatment at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Her Radiology Oncologist is Professor of Radiology and has over 30 years of practical experience. First treatment is this Thursday at noon, there are ten sessions scheduled and they will in addition to brain treatment be treating her Tumor which has been bleeding and has been the reason for so many transfusions. Prognosis is good, side effects should be minimal (but definite hair loss) and her chemo regimen is on hold for her after she gets past this hurdle. Oris Broussard who I know was Gods faithful servant on earth to continue to intercede for us at Gods throne in Heaven; we do ask God our healer to provide this miracle for Sandy.
