Press Brief. 17/09/2013 Non Authorized NPS Social Media Accounts The National police service Act 2011 is clear on discipline service that they cannot be members of any registered or non registered organization other than the National Police Service Association. Police officers shall not involve themselves into any party politics or be a member of any political body. In essence all police officers of the NPS are not and will not be members of clubs, Associations or societies other than those existing for the purposes of recreation, sport, Quoits, Education or social activities. All those operating social media in the name of police and issuing out hate statement or indiscipline dirty language will be followed and if traced of which it is not difficult to do so will have themselves to blame. I have already tracked one and soon you will learn as to who he was since he will no longer be member of the service. Officers are encouraged to open their own Facebook or twitter account in their respective names and share their experiences. Make good proposals, suggestions etc. Be Blessed.
