Primary and family relationships—ongoing encounters with people - TopicsExpress

Primary and family relationships—ongoing encounters with people for whom you care—are the core of Tribe Mind. These relationships, necessitating ongoing encounters with others, are the growth edge of your quest for authenticity. It can be argued that this quest is relatively simple in solitude, when there is no one of significance in your life who holds different ideas and values, who can challenge you in deep and profound ways. However, that is not reality for most. In fact, the tradition of the lone mystic or lone warrior is idealized in myth as essential to the path, but it is not real. You are part of an interconnected dynamic with other people: your family of origin, your nuclear and extended families—partner, children, descendants—your chosen as well as assigned tribes and communities. Because of this, you have a tribal mentality, a Tribe Mind formed over millennia and passed down through countless generations. You will find that expressing your authentic self requires being engaged with others. There are four basic human needs: to feel safe, to be heard, to be useful, and to have fun. And for humans, none of these can truly be accomplished absent other people. The Way of the Warrior #SpiritPaths
