Problem 1: According to Iain Duncan Smith, we have a terrible problem with people on benefits having spare rooms. Problem 2: According to just about everyone else, we have a terrible problem with MPs expenses what with us having to buy Maria Miller a second house because she cant catch the train. PROBLEM SOLUTION: MPs to be given enough money to rent the spare rooms from people on benefits in London. Simultaneously solving the problem of their expenses and the burden on taxpayers AND connecting politicians with people with real life problems. I defy anyone of any political stripe to think of anything wrong with this.
