INTE-828258 Description The intern will gain practical experience in using RCS Mastercontrol, Adobe Audition, Burli, working with the Producer of our main current affairs programme, identifying suitable content and making production arrangements for same, field reporting and preparing programme packages & news stories. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following: Basic Journalism Practices, Broadcast Codes Compliance, Developing a Broadcasting Voice, Audience profiles and JNLR, Programme Editing Techniques. On completion the intern will have attained skills in researching programme items, preparing briefs for presenters, developing a running order for programmes, building relationships with guests, responding to breaking news in a live scenario. you will attain skills in current affairs programme production that will equip you for any radio researcher/producer role in the independent sector. Skills Requirements The ideal candidate will be energetic and creative. You should be an avid radio listener with a keen interest in current affairs. It is important that you can work well in team environments. Please Note: This is an Internship. An allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment.See eligibility criteria above.
