Protest against violence in the eastern regions of Ukraine took place on Thursday in the center of Athens near the building of the EU representation in Greece. Came to the rally of about fifty people - immigrants from Ukraine and Russia, the Greeks from the former Soviet Union and were born in Greece. The action took place during working hours, and, according to the participants, many who wanted simply could not come. The organizers explained that they had to organize a meeting in the afternoon to pass the petition to the EU representatives in Greece - in the evening it can be done. The petition condemns the EUs position with regard to Ukraine, supported by the government that came to power in a coup, supported the fascist forces convicted Tribunal at Nuremberg. The petition calls for an end to the fratricidal war. Speakers talked about the difficult situation in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, demanded to stop the killing of civilians and children, and journalists.
