Proving the notion that educating one child educates a community, - TopicsExpress

Proving the notion that educating one child educates a community, students from our English Access Microscholarship Program have begun an educate a peer project as part of their community service work. Students invited friends, family, and neighbors to an orientation day to become familiar with the English program and then set up a schedule to teach these friends English over the coming months. One of the parents who came with a young guest humbly shared: “I walk with a head held high when I see my daughter speaking English. Only my daughter among other classmates attempted all the examination papers of eleventh standard in English. It is a great honor for me.” We are so proud of and inspired by our Access students who have taken advantage of their opportunity to learn to share with their friends, family, and neighbors in their communities! We can all learn a lot from their enthusiasm and unselfishness. Great job!
