Psalm 119:89-176. I could hardly have grasped what my Journaling daily in the Bible & prayers would do for me 32 years ago. It was March of 1981 and I had been feeling such a dearth in my life. I got a new green-covered notebook & started entering even though no one had ever taught me how, but I had heard & read of people that did it. With a heavy heart I started & deciding to do it every day, which there were times that I didnt keep it daily. Kept it up for approximately a week & then the next entry I wrote,It is a week now since I entered. We got a call that Arlene, my sister is very low (after surgery) that we left for Baltimore, Md. where she was hospitalized. We arrived & my Brother Oren informed us that they had shocked Arlene to revive her but it had failed. They did allow us to go back in after awhile. I touched her very still hot body. She had had a very high fever. It was hard to see my aged parents needing to make decisions. Out of 11 children, this was the second death. I kept journals all thes years since. Even though I didnt know how, I know that that was one of the most valuable decisions that I made to help me grow in the Lord. It helps me know how my spiritual condition was in my earlier days. This Psalm brought back many memories & also how I am seeing my need spending time early in the morning before distractions interfere. My writing on the Post, I hope will encourage both young & old to be in the Word daily & regularly. God has so many good things to know about Him & His plans for us, is a good plan. I agree with the Psalmist in verse 102, since I have kept being in the Word very regularly; I have not turned aside from Your Ordinances, for You Yourself have taught me...Your Words are a flashlight to light the path ahead of me, & keep me from stumbling. ...I will say it again, I will obey these wonderful Laws...I am determined to obey you until I die... teach me to obey,.... I am Your servant,.....Give me common sense to Your Rules to EVERYTHING I do...Early in the morning, before the sun is up, Im praying, & pointing how much I trust in You....Everything serves Your plans (the whole Creation)...I have inherited Your testimonies forever, For THEY ARE THE JOY OF MY HEART...You are Just & Your punishments are fair...Great peace have they which love Thy Law, & nothing shall offend them.... These days I do not get to read other books much because I seem not to get much time to do this kind of reading. Have man, many books on the shelf that I received so much help on in the past. And recommend to let that be an on-going plan to do that. It is time to close, but do not want you to think that Journaling is the only way. I plead for You to give careful attention to the Word daily. You will not regret it when you come to the end of your journey. Let us be a showcase for Jesus & not for self. Love You much with agape love!
