Psalm 138:7-8 New International Version (NIV) 7 Though I walk(A) in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life.(B) You stretch out your hand(C) against the anger of my foes;(D) with your right hand(E) you save me.(F) David, though a great and good man, expects to walk in the midst of trouble, but encourages himself with hope, 1. That God would comfort him: “When my spirit is ready to sink and fail, thou shalt revive me, and make me easy and cheerful under my troubles.” Divine consolations have enough in them to revive us even when we walk in the midst of troubles and are ready to die away for fear. 2. That he would protect him, and plead his cause: “Thou shalt stretch forth thy hand, though not against my enemies to destroy them, yet against the wrath of my enemies, to restrain that and set bounds to it.” 3. That he would in due time work deliverance for him:Thy right hand shall save me. As he has one hand to stretch out against his enemies, so he has another to save his own people. Christ is the right hand of the Lord, that shall save all those who serve Him. Reflections; We should be like David though we walk in the midst of trouble, confusions but we should encourage ourselves of GOD’s unconditional love and hope for his Divine help and consolations and forgiveness. Our journey toward Christian life is tough. Our enemies never slumber. Sometimes our fleshly desires for the comfort of this world bring us pain we point our hand to the devil which is not his doings. The pains are actually the consequences of our sins when we go against His will. However, GOD is faithful our loving and forgiving GOD. He will lead us back to him. We are his Precious One. He will make a way to regain us back. He will take us back in gentle or hard way. If we are stubborn he will deal us the hard way. It is our own choice!. If you now experience it. Call upon him.
