Psychology Tomorrow Magazine is planning a demonstration at the Annual Conference of the American Psychiatric Association to protest the overuse of medication and diagnosis in psychiatric practice. Many of the members of the panel who create the DSM-5: Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (psychiatrists Holy Grail) are receiving money on the side from pharmaceutical companies. The DSM-5 is also the guide for reimbursement from insurance companies who are now dictating what therapy should be.
