Pulls: when to use them? I use them for three things: 1. To teach tempo (i.e. controlled off the ground then extend legs aggressively when bar reaches the hips. 2. To teach the use of the back and legs properly. Pushing off the ground with the legs while maintaining tension in the back. 3. To be fast in the turnover. Panda pulls, high pulls, pulls with rebend, or whatever you call them, you be explosive with the finish.
