#QLD BOM UPDATE FIRE WEATHER WARNING for the Darling Downs and Granite Belt district. Issued at 4:31am bit.ly/wzB4wH EST on Sunday the 29th of September 2013 for Sunday. A surface trough over central Queensland will drift slowly eastward during the next 18 hours. Dry, gusty southwesterly winds in the wake of the trough are expected to cause the following conditions on Sunday: Severe fire danger in the Darling Downs and Granite Belt district. Temperatures up to 34 degrees, relative humidity down to 7%, and winds to 30 km/hr are expected. The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service, Rural Fire Service Queensland advises that fires will be uncontrollable and fast-moving.
