¿QUESTION... Does having a Sponsorship SAVE a pet? Well, it HELPS. A Rescue needs ALL the pieces of the puzzle. Funds and a foster. We all know that adoption fees dont cover their costs and it may be a long time before an adopter can be found. Plus although there is need, the Rescues also need to know their limits so that they can do rescue right! Please read the attached, maybe it will help explain a bit. ☟ When there is no room left, then a pet may leave by the back door, even it has sponsorship funds. Sometimes, with sponsorship funds, we may be able to delay it, if there is sufficient... like we did for Stormy. We had him neutered, etc. and boarded for a bit, but then he has to go BACK to the Shelter to try again. We hope that the difference, knowing his health etc. will help. However, he too is at risk. You see, it needs EVERYTHING to RESCUE a pet! So Sponsorships HELP but it isnt the whole solution. What happens if there are funds not spent on a particular pet?
