QUESTION: Why do we as people struggle making money with our business (businesses) sometimes? REPLY: Business principles are better caught than taught from your family, apprenticeship, or working for an entrepreneur. Yet, scripture still gives us theoretical wisdom. Here goes a few tips: Firstly, always do research and be prepared when negotiating, or doing business with someone. Be skilled in that industry by staying patient and constantly learning new things (Proverbs 22:29) Secondly, know the industry and what the value of something is, especially your time. Know if youre working for free, or the client or customer is taking you for a ride, because they know youre desperate for money (Proverbs 20:14) Thirdly, know when youre operating out of your own wisdom and strength, or God is actually giving you wisdom and favor. Learn from others God is blessing with supernatural wisdom in their natural work for a particular industry (Genesis 31). CLOSING: In a culture where money is flowing and people are spending money for goods and services why shouldnt you as a Christian prosper if youre applying Biblical principles of smart work, customer service and standard rates for your service/product. Have faith in God, yourself as a Christian and a human who deserve a living wage! Be equipped and never be afraid to say no to bad clients/customers. God will provide!
