Quarter Auction To Benefit- Ft. Smallwood Optimist Shop with a Cop Program Friday November 1, 2013 Doos Open at 6:00 pm, Starts at 7:00 pm VFW Post 2462 – 1720 Bayside Beach Rd, Pasadena Ft. Smallwood optimist is a non- profit Community Organization, Everything we do is to benefit the children of our community. Our motto is Bringing Out The Best In Kids The program matches needy children throughout Anne Arundel County , one on one with a police officer for the event. Each child is given $100 to shop for Christmas . On the day of the event each child is picked up individually by their assigned police officer , they get to ride in the police car, they all come to walmart at 9am for their shopping spree, after they finish shopping they go with their officer to Outback Steak House where a free lunch is provided , and the gifts are wrapped by Optimist club members and volunteers. The number of children we are able to help is driven by the amount of funds we are able to raise! Admission $5 includes 2 paddles Doors open at 6 and Auction starts at 7. Food available for purchase by VFW Ladies Auxillary Vendors include: Tastefully Simple, Origami Owl, Woodcrafts, Linen World, 31 Gifts, Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Partylite, Perfectly Posh and more!
