Question: What do you do with all the drawings your littles make - TopicsExpress

Question: What do you do with all the drawings your littles make for you?? I am NOT a keeper. I like to organize and throw things away, so I am not the mom who has boxes and boxes of school projects and kid-drawn pictures. That being said, I LOVE THE PICTURES MY KIDS DRAW FOR ME and the projects they make at school and I dont want to get rid of them and lose that keepsake forever. My 6 year olds birthday is at the end of the month and she has turned into quite the little artist. There arent many days that go by that she isnt creating a little storybook or drawing something amazing for someone in our house (her favorite is to draw farm pictures for her little brother - which he loves, but he loves HARD and they dont typically stay in one piece very long). I always feel terrible throwing her pictures away when she brings them to me after school but, come on, how many pictures of a mermaid do I need? So Ive had a growing pile of papers on my kitchen counter. Today I went through it and picked out my absolute favorites (I even went through her oh-so many notebooks that shes started drawing and writing stories in). I came up with 30 pictures/story pages that I wanted to record forever. I COULD put them in a box and store them in my attic, but thats just not me... I am scrapbooker. :) So I scanned my favorites, (played with the lighting a little bit in PSE to get rid of the eraser marks and wrinkles and things like that), and plopped them into an easy 8x11 book to be printed! :) Yay!! Now shes going to have an actual hard cover, bound book with all her precious drawings and stories to open up on her birthday. I get to get the huge pile off my counter, AND not have to deal with the mom-guilt!! :) Im not going to bore you by posting all of the pages of her drawings (I didnt add any papers or embellishments at all - literally only her drawings). But heres the cover I threw together (using Albums to Remember Designs Arts & Crafts kit (link below)) and a few of my absolute favorite pages.
