RAM Football games reports, RAMS vs. Joshua: 8TH GRADE A-Team - Lost 20-16. Offensively, Brandon Hinojos and Cesar Villareal ran the ball most of the night. Brandon scored two touchdowns and a two-point conversion for the team on the night. QB Ryan Goodwin also tacked on a two-point conversion in the game. Goodwin completed passes to Angel Batrez, Irving Batrez, and Gavin Pena on the night. Jared Singleton had a great game on defense, but Logan Reed had the best play of the game defensively as he intercepted a pass in the 2nd quarter. The 8th grade A-team record is now 3-2. B-Team - Lost 22-0. On offense, they were led by Running Back - Khalil Thompson and QB - Derek Edmonds. Derek completed passes to Alberto Quijas, Kobee Lapp, and Caleb Merrill on the night. The highlight of the night went to David Harrison for his interception in the second half. C-Team - tied 12-12. This group was led on offense by running back, Edgar Tejeda. He ran hard all night long and scored both of the teams touchdowns. Hayden Michels also had several nice passes during the game to recievers, Josue Valle and Ethan Bedell. Good Job guys. Colby Johnson was the stand out defense with several tackles. Our kids played very well in all 3 games, regardless of the outcome. We could not be more proud of them for their effort. We will be ready to play next week. Next week, the 8th grade will take on Hughes Middle School in Burleson. 7TH GRADE A Team WON 30-6, this is their first win and first scoring game - way to go guys! These boys gave us their best effort yet winning a big game. Standouts on defense Daniel Lindley, Ethan Waters Daniel Garcia intercepting a pass and breaking up a would be TD in the end zone. Sam Garcia at Strong safety and Braden Fryer at inside linebacker. Entire offensive line Kaleb Edmunds TD pass to JJ Carroll who had 3 tds on the night. Preston Garrett td run and Matthew Pierce with a 86 yard TD run. Kieron Davis a big run. Jeremiah Woodard at center, RW Aldridge at running back, and Brandon Paz on special teams did well. B Team lost a very close game 12-14 Wow, did this team really make big improvements over last weeks game. Offensive standouts. Brandon Ragland not only ran for a TD but threw a TD pass to NIck West and Timothy Lawhorn at center.. Defensive standouts Levi York Cameron Tucker Jett Adams Anthony Flores, Kyler Self Gabriel Hernandez and Ian Alsip. C Team lost 8-20 Once again a hard fought football game. Defensive standouts were Riley Sparks, Mac Hoskins making tackles when it counted. Offensive standouts Tanner Newby who scored on a big rushing touchdown. Made possible by blocking from Quinton Wagers and great snapping from Tracy Kithcart. Leo Hernandez with a pass reception and good outside blocking. The 7th grade will play at Ram Stadium against Hughes Middle School.
