Rumor Has It He Will Be Relegated To The Pre-Show With Antonio Cesaro. Don’t Get Me Wrong That Should Be An Outstanding Match, But Is Wasted On A Pre Show. Will Randy Orton Be Left Off The Card, Only Increasing The Tension & Likelihood That He Will Cash? If He Doesn’t Wrestle, It Means A Fresh Viper. Will Either Of The Company’s Mid Card Belts Be Defended? Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel Is Without A True Feud (What Else Is New), & Dean Ambrose Hasn’t Had A Meaningful US Title Match In What Feels Like Forever. Will He & The Shield Wind Up Finally Being Officially Booked Against The USO’s & Mark Henry Tonight? It Sure Looks That Way. But No Aspect Of RAW Will Be More Intriguing Than The 3 Man Dance That Has Been Going On Since Money In The Bank Last Month. John Cena Is The WWE Champion, Bryan Is The Number One Contender For His Belt, & Randy Orton Has The Golden Ticket That Is Looming Over Both Of Them. Give The WWE Creative Team Credit Here, 2013 Has Been A Year Full Of Wasted Opportunities (Ryback, Shield’s Slowed Momentum, Ziggler), But This Has Been Booked Very Well. Even The Cockiest WWE Fan Really Doesn’t Know How The Main Event To SummerSlam Is Going To Play Out. Will Bryan Realize His Dream? Will Randy Take The Brass Ring Right Out Of The Feared Beard’s Hands Moments After Finally Obtaining It? Or Does WWE Pull The Ultimate Fast Ball & Have SuperCena Wind Up Standing Tall & Retain His Belt Against 2 Men As The PPV Comes To A Close..? RAW Will Not Provide The Answer To That Last Question, Of Course. That Is For The Main Event To Decide. But We May Very Well Get A Better Feel For Who Has The True Momentum Heading Into The Summer Spectacular. Die Hard / Long Time Wrestling Fans Know That The Man Who Stands Tall On The Last RAW Before A PPV May Not Have The Momentum At All. In Fact, More Often Than Not It Is The Man Feeling The Most Confident As The Show Closes Who Winds Up Feeling Defeat. Remember The Momentum Bryan Had Going Into MITB? Who Knows How WWE Will Book The Conclusion, But It Has Been A Really Fun Ride To The Main Event. The Smartest Thing The WWE Did Here BY FAR Was Giving Randy The Briefcase. I Think Everyone Would Be Able To See Bryan’s Victory Coming If This Was Just A Straight Contest. He Has The Crowd Support Like No One Else On The Roster, He Is A Tremendous Wrestler, & His Confidence Has Exploded Over The Past Year. But Much Like The Rock VS Cena 2 – Having The Audience Know The Outcome Can Deflate Even The Most Amped Up Crowd. Cena Haters Were Quiet Through The Main Event Because They Knew The Inevitable Was Coming. The Rock Had Very Mixed Support Going Into The Match As It Was, & With Cena Guaranteed To Win, It Never Truly Felt Like The Main Event Of Wrestlemania. Remember Punk VS Cena In 2011? Punk’s Contract Was Expiring In His Home Town. He Had Already Told Vince & WWE To Go To Hell, On LIVE TV. No One Knew What Was Going To Happen, That Arena Was Buzzing, & The Crowd Added A Ton To The Match. That Is The Kind Of Feel We Should Have At SummerSlam. There Are 2 Huge Questions – Who Wins The Main Event? And What Happens Immediately After That…? I Expect Daniel Bryan To Defeat John Cena & Claim The WWE Title, After That, It’s Anyone’s Guess. That Kind Of Drama In Today’s Online Wrestling World Is Rare. Soak This Up WWE Universe, It’s Not Going To Come Around Often. Also On RAW Tonight, Look For A Development In The Sandow/Rhodes Feud. These Two Young Stars Had Their First ‘Miss’ Segment Since Their Rivalry On SmackDown. All In All It Was A Boring Exchange That Didn’t Get The Crowd Going, So Look For Them To Try Again On RAW. The Most MisUsed & Under Appreciated Member Of The WWE Roster Is Still Dolph Ziggler. This Tag Match At SummerSlam Is Beneath Him, But That’s Another Article All Together. I Expect Dolph & Kaitlyn Will Probably Find A Way To Embarrass AJ Tonight, As Big E Will Most Likely Get The Big Win At SummerSlam. Hopefully The WWE Creative Team Realizes It’s Biggest Task Tonight Is To Fill The SummerSlam Card Though. With Only A Handful Of Matches Booked For The Second Biggest Show Of The Year, It’s Time To Make Some Matches. As Of Today, Chris Jericho, IC Champ Curtis Axel, US Champ Dean Ambrose, The Shield, Mark Henry, RVD, Wade Barrett, The USO’s, Real Americans, Kofi, And Even Fandango Don’t Have A Match For The PPV. That’s Just Too Many Big Names Floating Around With Only 6 Days To Go. WWE Has Booked CM Punk / Lesnar As Well As The Main Event Brilliantly, But That Shouldn’t Mean Ignoring The Rest Of The Night This Much. Also, Look For The McMahon/Triple H Power Struggle To Elevate A Few Notches. This Mini Story Has Begun To Feel Stale & Tedious, So Hopefully WWE Either Ramps Things Up, Or Moves On. As All Die Hards Know, The Last RAW Before A PPV Is Usually Can’t Miss TV. The WWE Has A Knack For Sucking You In & Getting You To Buy The Big Event. Add A Very Compelling Main Event To The Fact It’s The Second Biggest Show On Their Calendar, And I Expect Them To Go All Out.
