RELIGION IS TO MAKE ONES LIFE WORTHY AND NOT WOTH SACRIFICING LIVES.... ( its a long post.. dont bother if you dont have time...) I have always believed that Religion is a way of life. For instance people from every religion pray and praying is a form of meditation or yoga.. Every religion has a few days of fasting a year, to help detoxicate ones body... Every religion has festivals, to keep the community bonded together.. Dont blame these politicians or incidents for the communal tension within India... BLAME YOURSELVES and the HIPOCRACY within. How can a Hindu have non-veg when its religion dosent permit it?? How can a muslim gamble or drink or give money on interest when its HARAM as per the HOLY QURAN?? How can a sikh smoke Ciggrates when its a sin as per their religion? But does mean that a non-vegeterian hindu, a drunk muslim, or a sikh smoker is not religious?? Thus I conclude religion was originally introduced to guide us in living a long, healthy and descent life. Dont you feel a parent teaching his child to pray is teaching him disclipine at the same time??? Isnt asking him to remember his prayers also sharpening his memory?? Arent stories about gods and ghosts more about doing the right thing and mot doing the wrong ones?? Try to relate and you will find that almost everything as per religion somewhere trains an individual to become better individuals... As once an individual has grown and matured he can start making his choices and live life his way as religion has done its art in laying a strong foundation for that individual. Its just that some smart assholes made religion their business and will go to any lenghts to make sure their business never stops. Just like every business carves for growth these people want to expand and earn more and thats when communalism is born. To woo people towards 1 religion they abuse, fight , degrade and insult the other. The worst part is they need goons to protect their business and thats us the blind followers and moreover we also pay them in the form of chandas and donations. Why is it when few hindus or few muslims fight within themselves its just fight but when few hindus and few muslims fight each other its riots?? Why do temples trusts of Tirupathi Balaji , Sai baba shirdi, Siddhivinayak in Mumbai, have crores in banks and so much gold.?? Because as per every religion we must share excess of anything with out fellowmen.If all the money from these trusts is put to us for the countrys betterment BELIEVE ME POVERTY AND MALNUTRITION WILL VANISH, FREE MEDICAL FOR ALL WILL BE POSSIBLE AND INDIA CAN PAY OFF A MAJOR CHUNK OF ITS DEBT. Then why not?? What are those funds doing in domestic and off shore banks?? Why are they not utilized to end the sufferings of gods own children??? Temples, mosques and religious dens now a days are more of shops and private ventures.. I only donate at gurudwaras because i see that they give food to any and everyone to attends prayers, irrespective of his caste , creed or belief. They may like others be making some money, but they make sure no obe goes out empty stomach and every gods child visiting them has food and a place to sleep..thats an perfect example i guess.. WE WILL NEED TO CHANGE OURSELVES TO CHANGE THE COMMUNAL SOCIETY OF OURS.. WE WILL NEED TO LOOK PEOPLE FOLLOWING OTHER RELIGIONS AS FELLOW HUMANS INSTEAD OF ENEMIES.. WE SHOULD ENJOY OUR RELIGION INSTEAD OF HIGHLIGHTING DRAWBACKS AND SHORTCOMING OF OTHERS RELIGION.. LASTLY I REMEMBER MY FATHER TELLING ME TO BE ON TOP OF LIFE THERE ARE TWO WAYS.. WORK HARD TO REACH THE TOP OR DRAG THE PERSON ABOVE YOU DOWNWARDS AND FEEL ON TOP IF THE WORLD..sadly we are choosing the latter when it comes to religion and hence suffering... -jfp
