#RHRCFieldUpdates: RHRC received a report of a firefight that ensued earlier today in the boundary of Bayang and Lumbacaunayan municipalities of Lanao del Sur, involving the alleged family of PO3 Macugar and an unidentified family. Initial information gathered reveals that the cause is an altercation by both parties on the use of Madrasah and the mosque in Barangay Linao, Bayang, Lanao del Sur. The altercation opened deep wounds of old ridos of both parties which eventually, led to the current exchange of fire. There are reportedly eight (8) casualties on one side and none from the other. RHRC is closely monitoring the situation and observing the possibility of having IDPs.
