RISING AND FALLING Life is about two opposites, we can say and do whatever we want to do but it always comes down to either one of the two opposites. You can call this opposites positive and negative or light and darkness even good and bad, the list is endless. Today I want us to focus on the kingdom and the nation. A kingdom by interpretation is a realm or territory ruled by a king or queen, the nation on the other hand is a group of people united by common descent or habitation or culture. Though a kingdom and a nation are not the same things they are usually used synonymously. We are born in a particular nation and we are born into certain kingdoms. Geographically speaking kingdoms and nations are the same thing but spiritually they are so far apart there is nothing similar about them. There is the kingdom of God and the kingdom of darkness and nations always live and go the direction of the kingdom in power. Nations rise because of only two reasons, first they rise because God is raising them, secondly they rise as a judgment over another nation. Likewise nations fall for two reasons, first because of judgment by God, secondly because they have rebelled against God. Now we are saints in our respective nations hoping and wishing for a better life, a better future and sometimes we even wonder if there is hope for us or our nations. The rising and falling of nations is not based on the negligence or excellence of governments but is based on the powers and influences of the kingdom reigning in such nations. One of our callings is to establish and defend the kingdom of God, if you desire for your nation to be prosperous and uplifted make sure to partake in advancing God’s kingdom in it. We have the power to let our nations fall or to make them rise...all that we have to do is to turn to God and call unto His name.
