Random thoughts: I predict that sometime in the future land which is put aside for agriculture will have a fines based on yield. Meaning that if a piece of land which is designated for food production in absence of acts of God will be expected to produce a certain yield in terms of crops or face penalties. Main cause of this will be land shortage due to urbanization and industrialization, and uncontrolled population growth. I stand corrected if this is already implemented.
