Real leadership means calling a wrong despite the implications economically, politically or socially. A country and people like Ireland with its experience of persecution and domination cannot sit idly by while religious zealots on both sides promote violence on civilians and most especially defenceless children! Can Irelands spirit not even be moved now to the plight of innocent babies and children being mutilated in the name of homeland security. Ireland is all for curbing Putins expansionist ideals but cant comment on US policy in respect of Israel. Ireland should and CAN do more!
