Really great post from The Madow Brothers this morning. Do you agree? ________________ Have you heard of Raphael Ravenscroft? Probably not. Sadly he passed away last week at the age of 60. But even though you may not know his name, you have certainly heard him. Raphael played that amazing saxophone riff on Gerry Rafferty’s 1978 mega-hit “Baker Street.” Oh yeah – even if you weren’t even born in 1978 you know the tune! With millions of album sales and tens of millions of radio plays, it’s possibly the most widely recognized sax line in history – yet even the best of music trivia geeks can’t name the guy who was reportedly paid fifty bucks to play it. And now he’s gone. So what’s the point? So many people touch our lives each and every day. From the person who slowed their car down and gave you a wave so you could safely change lanes this morning to the police who keep your streets safe to the farmer who grew those amazingly fresh vegetables you so easily picked up at your grocery store this morning – we are all dependent on a number of nameless faceless people who enhance our lives. And many times – we are those people! Start your week off right – make it a point today to thank one of those people, and then be one of them!!!
