Reckon this is a good write up for a hostel we stayed at? Me my partner and a friend all planned to stay here for a couple of months but on arrival we were greeted by a man who had no idea what was going on and he was coving for the owner CATHY. This place is a complete dive and the owner CATHY is just as bad.. For starters they take a deposit for everything from keys to cutlery and dont even provide pillows! CATHY makes up the prices as she wants, she charged us one price and 2 Argentinian lads a higher price to live in the same place, she takes advantage of people who cant speak good English, When the lads went to leave she refused to give them their deposit money back and made them pay for half a day at the hostel even though they called her several times to check out from 6am to 12 but she didnt answer. First time we met CATHY she banged on our door at 10pm demanding us to pay rent early and sign a contract that was half written in pencil and parts scribbled out in black pen, she also leaves the price off the contract so she can fill in what price she wants. There was cockroaches everywhere in the place I even got woken up by them crawling on me. She is a nasty person who should not be running a hostel. If you want anymore information about the place email me Im trying to warn all backpackers to stay clear of the place and the miserable meth head owner Cathy and her 8 kids running around the place. She told us when I called her to book 3 beds that she had jobs for us when we got here.
