Registration begins tomorrow, August 6, at noon. Here’s what you need to know to help make registration go smoothly. The very best way to register for classes is to use SPARC, the community centers’ online registration system. You can find registration instructions here: flphomeschool.org/index.php/register1/ Be sure to read through the FAQs on the new FLP website, which will answer lots of your questions. We draw particular attention to this information from that page: What if my child is not in the age listed for the class, but I think it would be appropriate for him/her? SPARC requires a fixed aged range for registration, but our teachers are often glad to include kids of any age who have the ability to participate productively in the class. Contact the teacher to obtain permission for a child outside the normal age range to participate. Posting a request on the SEAhomeschoolSWCC@yahoogroups board is a good way to get in touch with teachers before classes start. Since SPARC won’t let you register for classes outside of the age range, you will have to forward the email approval from the instructor to our community center staff contact, Kiesha Cannon [email protected] and then call to register over the phone. The phone numbers for the Southwest Teen Life Center are: 206-684-7438 or 206-684-4115. Kiesha will not be in the office until 3:00 tomorrow, so you may not be able to register for those classes that require an age variance until that time. Special notes: For Family Choir, you need only register one member of your family and as many of you as you would like can attend. The following classes do not yet have SPARC numbers, so hold space for them in your schedule, but you won’t be able to register for them until our numbers are received from the community center.
