Reminds me of billy chafe, he was 17 when he died in a car crash. Was drinking and driving. Wouldnt say we were close friends, but I did know Dave timewell who was in the car that night. Billy was driving, and they had two girls with them that night. One girl was seriously hurt too. Dave and the other girl were just banged up. I still think of it and him now and then. It had a profound impact on me, being as I was only 16 at the time. Lots of times it kept me grounded and put things into perspective. Around the same time, another kid broke his neck at a party diving head first into a pool. It was like he died too. Life can be tragic at any age, and change in a heartbeat. Then song seems to say something about it all.
