Reported by Ibn Umar (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “A man should not make another man to get up and sit in his place, but you have to make room and space for others.” I said: “Is it for Jumu’ah prayer only?” He replied: “For Jumu’ah prayer and also for any other occasion.” Ibn ‘Umar never sat in a place if one got up for him.
