What an amazing show of strength by the civil society in Islamabad today at Kohsar Market. Thousands of men and women, old and young, came out to lodge their peaceful protest against the horrific incident of yesterday and show the devastated families of Peshawar that the whole nation stands with them. I had originally expected only a handful of people at Kohsar but the turn out pleasantly surprised me. This is a clear turning point as the whole nation stands together to tell these handful of miscreants that we will not be scared into isolation. That you can take away our children but not our identity. That you can throw as many bullets our way as you want but we will not stop the struggle to grow and create a better Pakistan, a better world. That we have ten times more blood to offer than the amount of bullets in arsenal. Pakistan Zindabad.
