Republic day happens on 26th January. But generally it is on a very cold winter period and the day is most foggy many times. Once along with my family we attended R Day Patade in Delhi in 1998 and it was unbearably cold . My son and daughter were very small age 6-9 yrs and we could not enjoy the parade because of cold and fog. Although we got pass for chairs but the steel chairs were so cold and wet with dew like ice so we sat in grass. And the grass and earth was also very cold. Fig was heavy initially and marching parade was visible for only 100m. My suggestion is why not shift the RDay parade to some other hotter days or to hotter venue. Why not it should happen in say south or Gujarat? Also R Day parade should not be just a Military and govt affair. Pvt sector and public in general should also be given chance to add into the tableues of the parade. There should be jhankis of big corporate and PSUs also.
