Rest in peace, Ernie Banks, the great Chicago Cub (1953-’71), Hall of Fame baseball player, who died today, age 83. Ernie coined the phrase Lets Play Two, referring to a baseball doubleheader. I had the pleasure of having dinner with him one night in 2001. In a follow-up telephone conversation, I asked him the origin of his famous phrase.
