Rethinking Liberia: Fellow compatriots,Liberians.Given the kind of natural resources (iron ore,diamond,gold,timber,oil) and other cash crops(rubber) ect.which Liberia has,sufficient practical steps to widen the social,economic, political,and educational gap should be considered for the betterment of our people and country. As Senatorial elections would be held shortly,the wider electorate need to sharpen their skills and talents to participate in electing the next lawmakers.These top jobs must be awarded on the basis of merits,and not just ethnicity,social or class connection.Political cronyism should not be encouraged during this period. To make Liberias long-sought political objectives operational Liberians should not work to elect anyone from the narrow premise of who you are or where you are from.But instead we(Liberians)should act upon the positive basis of what you stand for and what you can do.For I am convinced looking back,it was a very serious mistake to elect people to the higher office of the legislative branch of government who cannot deliver what the masses need.
