ReviveAmerica PAC Boehner Breaks, Threatened With Removal Dear Member: Yesterday, I told you about how Speaker Boehner said he’d ram “Lindsey Graham-style ‘Instant’ Amnesty” through to Obama with as few as 70 or 80 House Republicans, and a gaggle of Pelosi Democrats votes. Just moments ago, after a closed-door meeting, Speaker Boehner backed-down. But this only happened because of your phone calls, and the seething outrage if many House Republicans who refused to be steamrolled by House Leaders. One House Republican member stands out. According to Politico, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher publicly warned Speaker John Boehner he would be “ousted if he rams through an immigration bill without majority Republican support.” “If Speaker Boehner moves forward and permits this to come to a vote even though the majority of the Republicans in the House—and that’s if they do—oppose whatever it is that’s coming to a vote, he should be removed as Speaker,” said Rohrabacher. “I would consider that a betrayal of the Republican members of the House and a betrayal of the Republicans throughout the country…” Bravo, Congressman! Mission accomplished. Now, what about Benghazi? Against the will of 157 House Republicans, a majority of the Majority, Speaker Boehner has blocked the House Select Committee on Benghazi since last November. In fact, just like ramming through “Instant Amnesty”, many would argue blocking the special Benghazi Committee is also “a betrayal of the Republicans throughout the country”. But shockingly, Congressman Rohrabacher is one of the very few House Republicans who have NOT cosponsored the House Select Committee on Benghazi. But perhaps this is an “oversight”. Call Rep. Dana Rohrabacher to find out: (202) 225-2145. Ask him to cosponsor the House Select Committee on Benghazi. After 9-months of ‘pussyfooting’ around Obama and Benghazi, Speaker Boehner’s 5-committee approach to Benghazi is an utter failure. It’s time for Speaker Boehner to stop blocking, and to appoint the House Select Committee on Benghazi. But it’s our job to force his hand.
