Reward Offered in Kansas Poisoning Deaths of Dogs The strychnine poisonings of three dogs in northwest Kansas has prompted the Humane Society of the United States to offer a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the deaths. The Hays Daily News reports two Labrador retrievers and a Chihuahua were found dead on Dec. 18 in a neighborhood west of Hays. All three dogs were outdoors when they ingested the poison.
