Riidas radio show Arashi Discovery - Oct 21st 2014 - Of Happiness & Handy Trains Translated by Twosen LJ: [BGM Lucky Man] Good morning. This is Arashis Ohno Satoshi. This week will be a special version where I talk about my better fortunes and lucky/happy experiences while reading messages from the listeners. First up is some happy mail from Hakata Hanamaru-Daikichi-san. Not the actual duo themselves. Right. Ohno-san, good morning. The other morning at the station, I was looking casually at the platform on the opposite side. Just then, there was a man who was looking outside across the fence the whole time. As I was watching, there was someone who looked like his wife jogging up with a bag hed forgotten and she passed it over the fence. The wife was kinda looking a little incredulous and the husband put his hands together and apologised. Then he watched her go until she was out of sight. My morning blues just flew out the window and was replaced by a feeling of happiness. I was just smiling away to myself. Ohno-kun, have you seen moments of happiness like these? Man, thats great. Theyre both kind souls, arent they? This sort of thing is great. Mm. I see. Thats great, the platform on the opposite side in the morning. As for me, often when I was a Junior, when I commuted by train... Generally when it seemed Id be a little late - when it was like, Ah, imma be late!, itd generally be the limited express train thatd arrive. Usually itd be the local or the rapid (train)... The limited express hardly ever comes by.[1] Ah, crap! At those moments when its really cutting it close, the limited express never failed to show up. It was incredibly lucky, in terms of trains. And then itd arrive a little early. Mm. So that used to happen in the past. It was a great help. It was pretty rare, that sort of thing. Like limited express trains and so on, there are those rare trains, right? But well, there were times like that too. I think trains are great. But well, I never overslept on my way out, but on the way home since Id fall asleep from tiredness. Id end up in some countryside places where thered be barely any lights and itd be pitch black. Eh? Wheres this? That often used to happen. (laughs) Id be lucky on my way out, but with coming back, now, I totally wasnt lucky at all! Guess it couldnt be helped with coming back. (laughs) There were lucky parts, too. Naturally those sorts of things happen. But well, from now on, those of you who commute by train, when it seems that youre going to be late, the limited express will come! Trust in that! (laughs) Good luck today, too! Thats all; this was Ohno Satoshi! Admin D
